Operational Responsibilities

• Heavy Foodservice Delivery: Safely operate a commercial 28 to 48-foot refrigerated straight truck or tractor-trailer across dense local and regional routes.
• Extreme Material Handling: This is a touch-freight role. You will utilize a loading ramp and a commercial two-wheel hand truck to manually unload heavy cases of frozen meat, fresh produce, and canned goods, wheeling them directly into restaurant kitchens, basements, and coolers.
• Customer Relationship Management: Act as the face of Sysco. You will interact directly with chefs, restaurant owners, and receiving managers daily, executing flawless invoice accuracy, processing returns, and maintaining strong business relationships.
• Cold Chain Compliance: Monitor and maintain the temperature zones within your refrigerated trailer, ensuring all perishable food products remain perfectly safe for public consumption during transit.

Requirements

Must be 21+ years of age. You must possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A) with a clean MVR. Exceptional physical strength and athletic endurance are absolute requirements; you must be capable of repetitively lifting 50-100 pounds and pushing a fully loaded hand truck up ramps and over curbs. You must pass a strict DOT physical, background check, and drug test.
