The Assistant Rural Carrier (ARC) is a specialized, part-time position designed exclusively to manage this weekend and holiday package volume. If you are looking for a highly stable, part-time driving job to supplement your Monday-to-Friday career, this is the ultimate opportunity. You will skip the tedious task of sorting paper mail and focus purely on delivering high-value parcels to rural communities when they are home to receive them.

Weekend Courier Operations

• Package-Only Focus: You will not case or deliver standard letter mail. Your entire shift is dedicated to loading your vehicle with Amazon parcels, Priority Mail packages, and bulky retail boxes for rapid weekend dispatch.
• Dynamic Saturday & Sunday Routing: Deliver exclusively on Saturdays, Sundays, and major federal holidays. You will navigate sprawling rural routes, utilizing GPS scanners to execute highly efficient parcel drop-offs.
• Personal Vehicle Operations: Utilize your own personal vehicle to complete your route. You must master the "Tetris" of loading dozens of large packages into your trunk and back seats so they can be retrieved quickly at each address.
• Contactless Drops & Customer Care: Ensure packages are safely hidden from weather and potential theft on large rural porches, occasionally navigating long, unpaved private driveways to reach the customer's front door.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver's license and a clean driving record. You must be completely available to work every Saturday, Sunday, and major federal holiday. You must own a reliable personal vehicle with substantial cargo capacity. Exceptional physical stamina is required to repeatedly lift heavy boxes (up to 70 pounds). A federal background check is mandatory.
